TotalEnergies’ Special Fluids division offers a wide range of high-purity hydrocarbon fluids tailored to meet the specific requirements of the Paints & Coatings industry. 

Our high performance product portfolio includes both aromatic and aliphatic solvents, allowing clients to select fluids that meet increasingly demanding regulatory and environmental requirements. TotalEnergies’ Special Fluids division offers technical service and solutions to both the decorative and industrial coatings markets. 

Aromatic solvents: 

XYLENE, TOLUENE & Aromatic Fluids

TotalEnergies offers a range of aromatic solvents, including Xylene, Nitration Grade Toluene and aromatic naphtha’s including ATOSOL 100, ATOSOL 150 and ATOSOL 200. Aromatic fluids are sourced from our refinery in Port Arthur, TX and are available from our facilities in Bayport, TX.

Aliphatic solvents:

TotalEnergies’ de-aromatized aliphatic solvents are extremely pure high performance fluids that allow formulators to meet the most stringent of HSE and environmental requirements. Key characteristics include: 

  • Excellent solvency power
  • Colorless appearance
  • Tailored evaporation rates and flash points to meet client requirements
  • High purity and ultra low aromatic content
