Argentina and Panama both emerged triumphant in the Copa América Centenario’s first match

(June 6th 2016) Argentina gave a big first step in the tournament in one of the most important matches, and won against Chile 2-1 in Santa Clara. Likewise, Panama marked its debut by beating Bolivia.

Copa America Centenario – Day 3

The first game of the day was Panama’s first-ever match in the tournament, who started off on the right foot by beating Bolivia. Blas Pérez was the player who scored the two victory goals for the team led by ‘’Bolillo’’ Gómez. The Bolivian goal was scored by Juan Carlos Arce. Panama has become the first team to win its Copa America debut since Paraguay 1921.   

The 4th day of the Copa America Centenario closed with last edition’s finalists. Argentina and Chile was a rematch of 2015’s Copa America final, but this time Gerardo Martino’s team was victorious. Di María and Banega were the ones scoring for the ``Albiceleste´´, while Fuenzalida scored for ``La Roja´´, all of them during the second half.

Group A’s 2nd date will begin this Tuesday, with games like USA versus Costa Rica in the Soldier Field Stadium; and Colombia against Paraguay in Pasadena’s Rose Bowl.
